Ben de Pagter

Ben de Pagter (1953) studied mathematics at the University of Leiden and received his PhD at the same
university under the supervision of A.C. Zaanen in 1981.

In the years 1981-1983 he held a postdoc position at the California Institute of Technology.

In 1983 he became assistant professor at the Delft University of Technology and is 1986 he received a five year C&C Huygens research fellowship from NWO.

In 2005 he was appointed as full professor on the chair Analysis at the Delft Institute of Applied Mathematics.

His research areas include the theory of Banach lattices and positive operators, and non-commutative
integration theory.
